Perfect 10: The reasons not to miss Betting on Football 2018

Betting on Football 2018, the fifth edition of the largest international sports and betting trade conference, will take place at Stamford Bridge from 20-23 March.

Featuring 1,500 senior executives, 200 leading industry speakers and 50 key sessions #bofcon2018 has become a must-attend event for the entire sports betting sector. Here are just ten of the key reasons why missing this event is not an option:

1) Bring a BOF based boost to your business

With no fewer than 1,500 senior executives, Betting on Football has grown into the most senior attended event in the gaming industry. From the leading operators to the largest sportsbook affiliates, key suppliers and sports clubs, everyone will be gathered in one place.

The lineup of speakers includes the likes of Snaitech CEO Fabio Schiavolin, Danske Spil CEO Niels Erik Folmann, Mr Green CEO Jesper Kärrbrink, Pinnacle CEO Paris Smith, Veikkaus Senior Vice President Jari Vahanen, Better Collective CEO Jesper Soegaard, OPTIMA CEO Jacob Lopez Curciel, Microgame CEO Marco Castaldo, BetVictor Director of Sportsbook & VIP Matt Scarrott.

2) Get on the right track

This year’s conference agenda has been deliberately shaped around the Russian World Cup, with a full day’s track covering key topics such as engaging customers in a live environment, standing out in the social media battleground and preparing for ‘Life beyond the bonus’. However, World Cup and Beyond is just one of five main tracks to be held across two action-packed days, alongside Betting on Innovation, Global Market Profiles, Leadership and Customer Journey.

3) Score a hat-trick of specialist forums

SBC Events will use Betting on Football as a platform to launch three specialist forums – The Affiliate Insider Bootcamp, Esports Insider Super Forum and SBC Sponsorship Forum, all of which double up as standalone events and individual tracks as part of the wider Betting on Football conference agenda.

4) Embark on a new product voyage

Stay up to date with the latest industry products in the exhibition area, which is ready and waiting to host 40 of the leading companies in the sports betting space. It will also feature allocated networking areas and meeting rooms, along with pre-organised esports and sports related competitions.

5) Not a Bridge too far

Not only will there will be a lively networking and exhibition area, sat alongside the running of four simultaneous conference tracks on both days, but food and refreshments are complimentary for all delegates at Stamford Bridge, the home of reigning Premier League champions Chelsea FC.

6) It would be Ruud not to

Former Ballon d’Or winner Ruud Gullit will be delivering a keynote speech at the Esports Insider Super Forum. On the same day, the man who lifted the European Cup twice with AC Milan and once with Holland, will be attending the SBC Sponsorship Forum at and completing a ‘meet and greet’ with delegates at Stamford Bridge, where he represented Chelsea as a player and manager between 1995 and 1998.

7) Party like a Russian

Alongside an unparalleled access to high-level insight and industry decision makers, #bofcon2018 delegates will also be treated to parties at Namco Funscape, the high-tech entertainment venue on London’s South Bank, and Roman Abramovich’s extravagant personal nightclub, Under the Bridge.

8) Keep up to date with what’s (app)ening

It promises to be an action-packed week, but you can plan your time in the best way via the official Betting on Football event app, via iOS and Android. There is no need to chase people up if you’ve set aside meeting times and places with the right people for your business, all from your mobile phone. You can even check up on the conference schedule and delegates, along with a full list of sponsors and exhibitors.

9) See the Premier League trophy (while you still can)

For those wishing to experience a bit more of the history and atmosphere of Stamford Bridge, there will be a sponsored stadium tour on Wednesday afternoon, which includes the pitch, changing rooms, trophy cabinet and executive boxes.

10) If the price is right

Once you have paid for your conference ticket, everything is free! This includes breakfast, lunch, exhibition, conference sessions, networking drinks, networking events and the parties.

SBC Events has deliberately kept ticket costs low considering the value provided by the 200 speakers and 50 sessions, along with the scale of the exhibition area, networking focus and business opportunities.
