Booming Games strengthens reach in Denmark through Danske Spil partnership

Danish state-owned operator Danske Spil has inked a new partnership with new regional player Booming Games.

Booming Games first received certification to offer its full suite of games to Danish players in August 2023.

Leveraging that initial step, Danske Spil is now turning to Booming Games for the supply of the latter’s flagship titles such as TNT Bonanza, Cash Pig, The Wild Wings of Phoenix and other fan-favourites.

The latest development represents another step towards European growth for Booming Games, with the company recently acquiring a licence in Romania – yet another burgeoning market.

Frederik Niehusen, Chief Commercial Officer at Booming Games, said: “Danske Spil aligns perfectly with our strategic partnership goals, running some of the most established and trusted brands in the business.

“We are thrilled to see our titles land in their lobbies,  and we look forward to a fruitful collaboration, boosting players’ experience and improving brand awareness.“

As of now, Danish players remain highly engaged with the gambling market, with the country’s gambling authority, Spillemyndigheden, reporting around DKK 587m (£67.2m) of gambling spend in February 2024 alone.

According to the regulator, this constitutes an increase of 18.3% compared to the previous corresponding period.

Meanwhile, public knowledge around gambling harm prevention support also remains strong. The latest data from the Danish regulator showed that the country’s self-exclusion scheme ROFUS reached a total of 50,000 signees as of April 2024.
