Betano has extended its sponsorship of Clube Atlético Mineiro (Galo) for the upcoming season.
The expanded deal – which originally began in 2021 at the beginning of the club’s successful campaigns in the Brasileirão, Copa do Brasil and Campeonato Mineiro – will see the gambling brand continue to feature on the front of the first team’s black and white shirts.
Notably, the extension will also see the Kaizen Gaming-owned brand become the master sponsor of the women’s football team, as well as gain properties in the MRV Arena such as the brand’s customised box and ‘possibilities for activations’ in the stadium.
A statement from Betano read: “We are committed to expansion, in an agreement that will also include the Club’s women’s football team, which has great potential to grow even further and is going through an important period of restructuring.
“With the properties at Arena MRV, we will be even closer to the public, planning activations, generating engagement and special moments between the fans, Betano and the club.”
The Campeonato Brasileiro Série A side has also highlighted the collaboration’s focus of encouraging sports, as well as promoting ‘positive and memorable experiences’ for football fans.
Clube Atlético Mineiro President, Sérgio Coelho, concluded: “Among the bets, Betano is one of the largest and most prestigious in the world. They are expanding the contract with Galo because it has reaped results.
“This is only possible when you have a huge and rapidly growing brand, like Galo.”
Betano’s marketing activity has included partnering with this year’s CONMEBOL Copa America.
This in turn forms part of a wider global sports sponsorship push which has also seen the firm partner with the 2024 UEFA European Championships, building on its status as the first betting partner of the FIFA World Cup in 2022.
