SIS to support Hipodromo Chile on its ‘biggest race day of the year’

SIS (Sports Information Services) has announced that it is going to sponsor a stakes race on the Gran Premio Hipodromo Chile card that takes place on 29 April in Santiago.

Rebranded to the Clasico SIS, the race is the latest in a string of sponsorships for SIS in Latin America, as the supplier aims to further underline its commitment to supporting the future success of racing across the region.

Michele Fischer, Vice President at SIS Content Services, commented: “Hipódromo Chile provides our clients with great racing all year and we are delighted to support them on their biggest day.”

Held since 1909, the Group 1 Gran Premio Hipódromo Chile has been named one of the most significant races in Chile. Also known as ‘the classic of the classics’, this race features elite long-distance horses competing on a 2,200-metre dirt track.

“We are very committed to horse racing in Chile and Latin America and this latest race sponsorship epitomises our support to the region,” Fischer continued.

SIS maintains a global distribution agreement with Hipódromo Chile to provide its races to bookmakers. In total, SIS now delivers over 35,000 live horse racing events each year, including from Argentina, Chile, Mexico and Uruguay.

At the beginning of this month, SIS also announced an agreement with Philippines-based Jade SportsBet, as the operator integrated the supplier’s greyhound racing content.

Jade SportsBet is now live with SIS’ offering 38,000 of greyhound races annually from the UK, Ireland and Mexico.
