Racecourse Media Group (RMG) and SIS (Sports Information Services) have extended their distribution and transmission partnership.
The deal sees audio-visual data from RMG racecourses supplied to licensed betting offices (LBO) across UK and Ireland.
Nick Mills, CEO of RMG, commented: “We look forward to extending the partnership and working closely with SIS and our LBO partners to grow interest and betting on RMG content.
“LBO revenue remains a significant media rights income for the sport and this deal further increases the value of RMG’s content in the LBO marketplace.”
Described as ‘high-quality’ and ‘day-in, day-out’, horseracing output is gathered from RMG’s stable of racecourses, including the Jockey Club courses – such as Cheltenham, Aintree (pictured), Epsom Downs, Newmarket and Sandown Park – and independent courses, like Goodwood, York and Ayr.
This data will now continue to form the ‘core content’ of SIS’s LBO services until the end of 2028.
“I am delighted to have extended our arrangement with RMG for a further three-year period,” added Richard Ames, CEO of SIS.
“Over the last eight years of representing RMG’s rights the relationship between the parties has gone from strength to strength, and this new arrangement is testament to our collaborative working practices.”
The extended collaboration comes on the heels of SIS’ multimedia deal with Betfred, where SIS will broadcast the operator’s in-house TV Channel from Media City UK, Salford.
Betfred’s production facility is now experiencing a ‘major upgrade’ and all coverage will be in HD.
