SIS reiterates global support of horseracing with LatAm Gran Premio Nacional

Sports Information Services (SIS) has agreed a partnership with Argentina-based derby, the Gran Premio Nacional.

Seeking to strengthen its presence in the region and reiterate a commitment to horse racing, the company will be sponsoring the oldest and ‘most influential’ annual race in the Latin American country which attracts thousands of spectators.

Michele Fischer, SIS’ VP of content services, said: “Racing in Latin America has long been of great importance to SIS and we are keen to continue to expand on our existing commitments with our valued partners. We look forward to a highly competitive race which is sure to attract great interest worldwide.”

The competition is set to take place at the Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo racetrack in Buenos Aires on 12 November.

SIS has already an agreement with the Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo course as its global distributor of pictures and data, while the firm underlined how it looks to ‘nurture the growth of racing in Latin America as a whole’.

As well as this, SIS also works in partnership with several major courses in the region. In total, the group delivers over 27,000 live horse racing events annually, including races from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico and Uruguay.

“We’re delighted to have enhanced our partnership with SIS, which has built a solid reputation as a trusted provider of international racing content for many years, to encompass the sponsorship of this prestigious race,” added Hernan Fucile, Director of Simulcasting Operations at Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo.

“The Gran Premio Nacional is sure to entertain and thrill racing enthusiasts both here at the course and those following the action around the globe.”

Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo hosts 69 Group races across the year, including other Group One events such as Gran Premio República, Gran Premio Polla de Potrillos y Potrancas and Gran Premio Selección.
