Oddin.gg has been officially registered with the gambling regulator for the City of Buenos Aires (LOTBA), paving the way for the firm to roll out its esports services to licensed operators in the Argentine capital.
The green light means the supplier can now offer its full esports betting portfolio, including odds feeds, risk management tools, BetBuilder as well as widgets, to operators in the region.
The move marks another significant step in the company’s steady push into Latin America, a region where esports betting continues to gain ground. In fact, revenue in the sector is estimated to reach US$208.1m this year.
“Being officially registered with LOTBA marks an important step in Oddin.gg’s long-term commitment to the Latin American market,” commented Juana Bischoff, Senior Business Development Manager Latin America at Oddin.gg.
“Esports is gaining real traction across the region, and we want operators in Buenos Aires – and beyond – to have the tools and insight to deliver a top-tier esports betting experience.
“We’re not just bringing leading technology – we’re bringing the local expertise and regulatory awareness needed to help our partners like Betsson and Jugadon grow.”
LOTBA is widely recognised as one of Latin America’s more advanced regulatory bodies. It oversees all forms of gaming and betting in the city and holds Level 3 certification from the World Lottery Association (WLA).
LatAm expansion
The Argentine betting industry is regulated at the provincial level, with each of the country’s 24 jurisdictions (23 provinces and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires) setting its own rules, issues licenses and governs operations independently.
Buenos Aires Province, the country’s most populous area, is regulated separately by IPLyC (Instituto Provincial de Lotería y Casinos). This split regulation means operators must apply separately in each jurisdiction where they wish to be active.
Oddin.gg has been steadily building its presence across Latin America since 2021, with a strong focus on localisation and partnerships.
Oddin.gg first partnered with Sirplay to kick off its journey, later strengthening its regional reach with deeper integrations, first with Vibra Solutions in April 2024, then with Atlaslive towards the end of that year.
These collaborations have reportedly helped operators in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, and Peru deliver a more advanced and engaging esports betting experience.
Meanwhile, in 2023, it opened a trading hub in Lima, Peru to better cover regional time zones and bring real-time esports expertise closer to operators.
