Paddy Power has extended its title sponsorship of ‘Good Morning Racing’, the live and daily festival preview show of Spotlight Sports Group’s (SSG) Racing Post.
The Flutter Entertainment bookmaker will sponsor a total of 15 shows, including every day of this week’s Cheltenham Festival – starting today and finishing on Friday – as well as the Grand National next month, and Royal Ascot in June.
SSG has emphasised that the Good Morning Racing series saw ‘huge engagement’ following launch last year, having been streamed via both the Racing Post and Paddy Power’s online channels.
Sam Houlding, SSG’s Chief Commercial Officer, said: “Our daily and live Good Morning Racing shows are an essential part of our digital coverage surrounding racing festivals, and this partnership extension with Paddy Power will help take the shows to the next level.
“Combining our Racing Post experts and following with that of Paddy Power will provide a wide-ranging audience with the insight they need to be well-informed bettors on every race day.”
Good Morning Racing is filmed using SSG’s mobile studio, whilst also being streamed on-location to give audiences expert insights from the ground, as well as ‘leaders’ in the UK racing scene.
This year’s Cheltenham Festival coverage of the show will feature the Racing Post’s David Jennings and Paul Kealy, alongside guests such as Mick FItzgerald, Katie Tracey, Jerry McGrath and Paddy Power representatives.
Expanding its sponsorship of the series further, Paddy Power has planned a £150,000 cash giveaway to kickstart the festival this afternoon as part of its ‘Finders Keepers’ campaign.
The giveaway will also see £5,000 deposited into ‘randomised active accounts’, with customer’s given £15 minutes to claim the prize, winning £500 if the cash goes unclaimed.
“We’d like to think we bring to Good Morning Racing what Piers Morgan brought to Good Morning Britain, informative insights with unexpected outbursts,” a Paddy Power spokesperson said.
“We’re looking forward to saddling up for another wild ride with the team this year. Our £150k Finders Keepers giveaway will cost less than the breakfast tab.”
