Australian supplier BetMakers Technology Group has contributed to the rollout of fixed odds wagering products in Jamaica, launching the offering at the Caymanas Park racecourse.
The successful launch of the offering at the island’s only racetrack was conducted in partnership with Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Ltd, a gaming solutions provider focused on the Caribbean region.
A joint objective of driving ‘excitement, growth, and sustainability’ of global racing has been outlined by the duo, with Supreme Ventures establishing multiple betting stands at the track.
This will be followed with a planned rollout of 130 betting outlets and a fixed odds offering on the caymanasbet.com site in early 2023.
“The culture and passion for racing in Jamaica really needs to be seen to be believed,” said Dallas Baker, BetMakers’ Head of Business Development US.
“Jamaica punches well-above its weight when it comes to betting handle so we are in for some exciting times now that we have launched fixed odds betting in a second jurisdiction in the Americas.”
BetMakers finalised the integration of fixed odds wagering at Caymanas on 3 December, coinciding with the running the Mouttet Mile, the ‘richest race’ in the English-speaking Caribbean horse racing schedule.
The ASX-listed firm’s partnership with Supreme Ventures follows a successful rollout of its racing products and content internationally through a series of agreements throughout the year.
Most recently, BetMakers partnered with Victorian Thoroughbred Racing IMB (VTRIMB) in Australia, securing terms to distribute Malaysia’s Selangor Turf Club content in the UK and Ireland, whilst in early November it completed its acquisition of Punting Form.
