Betfred is set to expand its in-store engagement capacity, commissioning Playtech BGT Sports to install a further 250 widescreen terminals across its UK estates.
The expanded agreement sees Playtech BGT service more than 3,000 terminals across Betfred’s 1,700 retail betting shops.
In its market update, Betfred retail management stated that further Playtech BGT terminal provisions were needed to satisfy the growing consumer demand for self-service products at an in-store level.
Mark Stebbings, Managing Director of Betfred Retail, said: “Betting in-play has never been more popular so it’s great to be able to turn to Playtech BGT Sports to cater to our needs.
“Their widescreen terminals are the best on the market and we are sure they will continue to be a major part of our business, especially in our best performing shops.”
Playtech BGT details that it will move to install the new Betfred widescreen betting terminals, ahead of the start of the new English football season (11 August 2018).
As lead Betfred retail systems provider Playtech BGT, will move to further enhance the bookmaker’s in-store terminal content and functions creating a deeper engagement vertical for its in-store customers.
