SIS (Sports Information Services) has enhanced the racing content delivered to its UK and Irish bookmaker partners via its partnership with Media System Technologies (MST).
The arrangement centres specifically on the distribution of the Italian Gallop Derby, which this year will run its 140th edition. This will mark the first time British and Irish omnichannel operators will accept fixed-odds bets on the race.
Milton-Keynes based SIS will provide the content via its 24/7 Racing Services division, utilising its end-to-end solution including streamed pictures, data, on-screen graphics with betting triggers, markets and prices.
Conall McSorley, Head of International Horseracing at SIS, said: “The Italian Derby is one of the premier contests in Europe, and we are delighted to bring the 140th renewal to bettors in the UK and Ireland and around the world through our partnership with Media System Technologies.
“With a rich history, the race resonates with racing fans in Italy and globally. We are sure that the increased global audience will enjoy the high-quality action from Italy’s most valuable race meeting, as we continue to expand our racing offering across the world.”
Scheduled for 21 May, the Italian Gallop Derby will feature nine races, and SIS will distribute content from all featured meetings.
This includes three group meetings – the Italian Gallop Derby, the President of the Republic Grand Prix, and the Carlo D’Alessio Grand Prix and three listed races – the Tudini Prize, the Alessandro Perrone Prize and the Mauro Sbarigia Prize.
SIS first partnered with MST in February 2023 in an agreement covering 1,425 flat races including fixtures from the IRw (Italian Racetracks in the world) grouping, such as the Merano, Pisa, Roma, Treviso, and Varese racecourses
Meanwhile, distribution of Italian content to UK and Irish firms is SIS’ only focus in Italy, as the group has also sought to deliver its services to operators in the country. For example, it recently secured a deal to supply content from 35,000 races to ISIBET Pro.
Michele Rosi, Head of Operations and Business Development at MST, added: “The distribution of the Derby di Galoppo in the UK and Ireland to major betting brands brings MST and the entire horse racing chain to a new important milestone: the distribution of an important event such as the Derby Italiano di Gallop in the natural cradle of this beautiful discipline.
“We are sure that the high value of the day of racing, enriched by the quality of the HD images, will represent the best advertisement for a relevant market such as the UK and Ireland. This is precisely the image that MST has been exporting internationally since August 2022, together with the offer of Italian racing.”
