Paddy Power Betfair seeks new Advertising lead following departure of Mischief Maker Ken Robertson

Ken Robertson is set to leave Paddy Power Betfair (PPB) as Group Director of Advertising, a role he had been promoted to last April 2016 following the post-merger combination of Paddy Power and Betfair marketing divisions.

Confirming his departure to the Irish Times, Robertson further detailed that he is seeking to create his own ‘creative marketing business’ targeting new social media and new advertising channels.

“I will be taking a lot of my learnings from Paddy Power and looking to put them into practice,” he said. “The intention is to produce high-quality creative advertising at quite a low cost.” Robertson details to the Irish Times.

An 18-year Paddy Power veteran, Robertson has worked in number of leadership roles within the firm’s marketing department including ‘Head of Mischief’. Robertson has also been a key stakeholder in expanding the Paddy Power internationally and has lead marketing for Australian subsidiary Sportsbet.com.au

“Ken is a unique person and filling the void that he leaves will take a special talent, so I’m delighted that he will be around for quite some time to come,” PPB leadership detailed to staff.

“He will be sorely missed and closer to the time, we will take the opportunity to celebrate a quite brilliant career.”
