Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has confirmed the immediate appointment of Andreas Söneby to its Platform Board of Directors.
Söneby, is a technology figurehead in the igaming and technology sectors, and brings significant experience to GiG as the company finalises its strategic split of its media and platform businesses.
His expertise spans across multiple high-level positions, including Chief Information Officer at Kambi, where he led the company’s technology strategy and managed a team of over 300 professionals.
During his tenure at Unibet Group plc, as Chief Technology Officer and IT Director, demonstrating his capability in managing complex operations and driving strategic initiatives for a tier-1 multi-market gambling group.
In addition to his work within the gaming sector, Söneby has held executive roles at companies such as White Hat Gaming and Instabox. He is currently a Venture Partner at Industrifonden, where he contributes to shaping the future of IT and technology across various sectors.
Söneby’s replaces Tomasz Juroszek on the GiG Platform Board, which now consists of Petter Nylander (Chair), Hessi Mocca, Mikael Riese Harstad, Nicolas Adlercreutz, and Andreas Söneby.
The GiG Platform Board remains a temporary committee dedicated to the Platform & Sportsbook vertical until the planned spin-off.
