West London football club, Queens Park Rangers (QPR) has confirmed online betting exchange Smarkets as its Championship season 2016/17 official shirt sponsor.

Agreeing terms on a one-year deal with QPR, Smarkets upgrades its existing collaboration with the London football club which last season saw the betting exchange become its official betting partner.

QPR will now display the Smarkets logo on the front of its season 2016/17 shirt, with the betting exchange gaining further high coverage placements during match days at QPR’s Loftus Road stadium (Capacity 19,000).

The Smarkets brand will be further promoted on QPR’s digital channels and social inventory, with the club committed to  promoting its new shirt sponsor.

Announcing the deal, QPR Commercial Director Euan Inglis stated:

“We are absolutely delighted that Smarkets have upgraded from their designation from last season to become our lead partner for the 2016/17 season. We have really enjoyed working with Smarkets and look forward to developing new initiatives on top of what has previously been implemented.”

Jason Trost, CEO of Smarkets, commented on the sponsorship:

“Smarkets is thrilled to extend and broaden our partnership with QPR after joining the team last season. We look forward to the new campaign with a club that shares our aspirations and places its supporters at the heart of the action.”

The new QPR shirts for the 2016/17 season will be revealed at the end of June, with further details to follow this week.
