SIS upgrades streaming network with Phenix solutions

Redeploying its broadcast services following lockdown, Sports Information Services (SIS) has confirmed that it will optimise its streaming capacity by utilising Phenix real-time video solutions.

Updating its global partners, SIS revealed that it has installed Phenix streaming provisions which will significantly reduce network latency across its 24/7 live broadcast programming.

Phenix’s technology upgrades will be deployed across SIS’ 24/7 Live Betting Channels, World Greyhound Tote Pool and Competitive Gaming Channel.

SIS broadcast and production teams will be supported by the Phenix WebRTC (Web Real-Time Communication) platform and further patent-protected technologies, minimising delay of live streams supplied to global partners.

Paul Witten, Product Director at SIS, said: “It’s crucial that we minimise the latency of live events to a bettor’s screen as much as possible, in order to optimise their betting experience.

“Partnering with Phenix is key in helping us deliver real-time streaming to our operator partners, and further demonstrates our reputation for providing top quality live pictures to operators globally.”

A specialist supplier of HD video solutions for live sports and entertainment firms, Phenix technologies has optimised streaming platform capabilities for Disney, Oracle and the NFL.

Roy Reichbach, CEO of Phenix, added: “SIS’s vision and openness to innovation will enhance their offer to bookmakers, providing them with real-time streaming and synchronised playback. The combined solution provides punters with an improved betting experience and increased operator revenues.”
