Greyhound racing operator SIS, has announced the appointment of Gordon Bissett as Operations Manager.
The former Ladbrokes Stadia Operations Controller will take over SIS greyhound race course duties in the new year, having most recently consulted for Racing Post Greyhound TV and Bookmakers Greyhound Services Limited (BAGS).
Bissett who has over 30 years’ experience in racing and betting, will also assist SIS in strategic and marketing matters as the Greyhound operator looks to broaden its sports reach and test out new racing concepts in the coming months.
Bissett commented on his appointment: “I start on January 5, and will be based in Milton Keynes but also in London and Manchester. SIS has great commitment to greyhound racing and the greyhound product, and it’s going to be interesting to see how we can develop the service.
Bissett added: “Having been at Nottingham on Tuesday for the Bags/SIS Track Championship gala, everyone was buzzing about the occasion and the climax, and it will be good to see how we can further progress the idea next year.”
