Greyhound racing operator SIS, has announced the appointment of Gordon Bissett as Operations Manager.

The former Ladbrokes Stadia Operations Controller will take over SIS greyhound race course duties in the new year, having most recently consulted for Racing Post Greyhound TV and Bookmakers Greyhound Services Limited (BAGS).

Bissett commented on his appointment: “I start on January 5, and will be based in Milton Keynes but also in London and Manchester. SIS has great commitment to greyhound racing and the greyhound product, and it’s going to be interesting to see how we can develop the service.

Bissett added: “Having been at Nottingham on Tuesday for the Bags/SIS Track Championship gala, everyone was buzzing about the occasion and the climax, and it will be good to see how we can further progress the idea next year.”

George Irvine, MD Betting and International Operations at SIS, said: “We’re pleased to welcome Gordon to the team. His knowledge of the sport is exceptional, and we all see greyhound racing as developing further.
