FA hands Daniel Sturridge four-month ban over betting breaches

Former Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has been handed a four month ban from all football-related activity after it was found that he had breached the FA’s betting rules. Sturridge, who terminated his contract with Turkish side Trabzonspor earlier on Monday, was originally issued a six-week ban last summer, of which four weeks were suspended, in addition to a £75,000 fine. …

Wycombe footballer suspended after placing 183 bets

Wycombe Wanderers’ forward Scott Kashket has been sanctioned with a two month suspension and £3446 fine after he admitted placing 183 bets on football matches. Kashket had been charged by the Football Association (FA) last month following a period between 2014 and 2016, during his time at Leyton Orient, in which the bets had been made.
