Campeón Gaming has made its latest market debut, entering the Cypriot betting space for the first time via a deal with one of the country’s leading B2C operators.
The firm has signed a deal with Bet on Alfa, a Nicosia-based bookmaker. The deal positions Campeón for further growth in the Cypriot market, which punches above its weight on the international scene.
While Cyprus may be a small nation in comparison to others in Europe, its betting market has some international significance due to hosting a considerable B2B sector, overseen by the National Betting Authority.
Marinos Shiapanis, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Campeón Gaming, said: “Our partnership with Bet on Alfa is particularly significant for us, as it represents Campeón Gaming’s first B2B partnership in Cyprus and another important step in our expansion across regulated markets.
“Bet on Alfa brings extensive knowledge of the local market and a longstanding presence in the industry, and we are delighted that Campeón Gaming’s technology platform will support the next stage of its online operations.
“For us, every new partnership begins with understanding the real needs of the operator and building a technology foundation that can support its long-term growth with consistency and flexibility.”
Terms of the deal see Campeón supply its full technology stack to Bet on Alfa. The firm states that this will play a key role in its new partner’s continuing development of its digital offering.
Nikos Chamatsos, Chief Financial Officer at Bet on Alfa, said “We are very pleased to officially begin this new chapter for Bet on Alfa together with Campeón Gaming.
“The successful completion of our platform migration represents an important milestone in the continued development of our digital business.
“This transition provides us with a strong technology foundation, greater flexibility and the capabilities required to further enhance the experience we offer our customers and support our future growth.”
