Sportsbet.io nets two-season back-of-shorts deal with Hull City

Sportsbet.io has been named a new principal partner, back-of-shorts sponsor and official Turkish betting partner of Hull City FC.

The two-year deal will allow for the operator to gain further brand recognition in the EFL Championship, boosted by appearing on the first-team shorts of the team’s home, away and third kits.

Alexander Haig, Director of Sportsbet.io, commented: “As a digital pioneer, Sportsbet.io shares Hull City’s passion for exploring innovative ways to engage with supporters and sports fans alike in Türkiye.”

Established in 2016 as part of the Yolo Group, Sportsbet.io describes itself as a digital innovator with sportsbook, casino and virtual sport offerings with a commitment to enjoyable and responsible gambling.

“This is a significant partnership with a reputable brand that again illustrates the increasing profile of Hull City in Türkiye and overseas,” added Brett Carroll, Head of Commercial.

“Working across football, the group take their responsibility to educate communities and highlight the importance of safe betting incredibly seriously, and I have no doubt this work will be evident in Hull throughout the partnership.”

With the front-of-shirt sponsorship ban in the Premier League coming into play at the end of the 2025/26 season, teams and operators are looking into new ways of collaborating.

For example, Betway and Manchester City have just announced a multi-year deal as the operator became the official global betting partner of the club.

This partnership will focus on marketing activations and content creation, with Betway’s brand set to feature across the club’s digital and in-stadia assets.

It is important to note however that the above mentioned ban will only affect Premier League clubs, and so as a Championship side Hull City will not have to meet this requirement. If the side are promoted back to the top flight this will change, though.

On the Sportsbet.io Hull City deal, Carroll added: “Sportsbet.io’s growing player numbers in Türkiye make this the perfect match and we are looking forward to working with them, to the benefit of both parties, over the next two seasons.”
