ComeOn enhances sportsbook focus with Nicholas Jones as Head of Trading

Nicholas Jones has been named the new Head of Trading of igaming operator ComeOn Group.

He joins ComeOn with more than 30 years of experience in the trading field, with various senior roles at operators including Openbet, GVC/Bwin, Superbet and Stanleybet.

Jonathan West, Director of Sportsbook at ComeOn Group, explained that he is ‘thrilled’ to have Jones join the team. 

He said: “With our increased focus on our in-house sportsbook platform, it was important that we found someone who knows trading inside out, and Nick is certainly that person.” 

West cited the ‘vast experience’ of the new Head of Trading as a reason for his appointment stating that he is the ‘perfect fit to complement the talented team across all its locations and define and execute its risk strategy’. 

Jones will take ownership for defining and implementing the trading and risk strategy on ComeOn’s new proprietary in-house sportsbook platform. 

As part of the group’s continued growth path, it highlighted that accelerating the sportsbook vertical is ‘at the core’ of its growth strategy moving forward.

Founded in 2008, and having launched its first online brand in 2010, ComeOn Group now runs a wide range of brands across multiple markets, operating a significant number of brands on its proprietary platform.

“As we accelerate our investment in our sportsbook strategy and in-house platform we know that with Nick on board we are in safe hands as we unlock the biggest growth opportunity within Sportsbook for the years to come for us,” West concluded.

Last month, ComeOn Group also announced the internal promotion of Owen Parry as its new  Head of Customer Engagement. 

Parry has formally led ComeOn’s central promotion team as Head of Customer Proposition over the past year, and will now shift focus to overseeing customer engagement operations, working across the group’s multi-brand portfolio.
