ComeOn Group joins IBIA in ‘natural step’ to protect customers

ComeOn Group has announced a long-term membership with the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) with all of the company’s betting brands feeding into the IBIA monitoring and alert platform.

The igaming operator regarded the move as a ‘natural step’ as ComeOn highlights its commitment to delivering a product experience that allows players to use their platform free from betting-related corruption.

Juergen Reutter, CEO at ComeOn Group, commented: “We are very excited about joining forces with IBIA. This will enable us to keep protecting our customers and provide a safe and enjoyable player experience, which is of highest priority. IBIA is the most prestigious integrity body globally so it is a badge of honour for us to be joining them.”

The IBIA reports suspicious betting identified in its members’ markets to both sports governing bodies and regulators. The new membership brings a ‘sophisticated monitoring and reporting layer’ to further protect ComeOn’s player base by collecting valuable information and bringing knowledge around specific behaviours within sports betting.

ComeOn Group has stated that it will continue to enhance its betting products for a safe and protected player experience for its customers.

Khalid Ali, CEO of IBIA, added: “The addition of ComeOn to IBIA’s ranks is another important step for the association as it seeks to expand its global membership of responsible and reputable sports betting operators.

“IBIA is the only international integrity body run for operators by operators. As a not-for-profit body, we are not bound by commercial pressures and can therefore focus on being leaders on betting integrity through the work we undertake for our members and the stakeholders we work with.”

ComeOn joins many other regulated sports betting operators in the world in becoming part of the IBIA, with the association’s members accounting for over $137bn of global betting turnover per annum and nearly 50% of all regulated commercial operator online betting activity.

In November last year, the firm reorganised its C-level leadership team after announcing the appointment of three new executives to lead its product, technology and performance marketing units.

The B2C online gambling subsidiary of Cherry AB promoted Gaming Director Cristiano Blanco to Chief Product Officer (CPO), Mikael Ångman from Director of Technology and Products to serve as ComeOn’s Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Efi Peleg, the former Director of Performance Marketing at William Hill, joined ComeOn executive leadership team.
