QuinnBet appearing on travel kit in extended Hibernian FC sponsorship

QuinnBet and Hibernian FC have announced a two-year extension to their commercial partnership, which began at the start of last year.

The Ireland-based betting company’s logo will now be displayed across the first team’s 2023/24 and 24/25 travel-wear range which will be worn by first team players for international travel, home and away fixtures.

Niall McPartland, QuinnBet Marketing Manager, said: “We are extremely proud to announce a two-year extension of our partnership with Hibernian Football Club. We enjoy a fantastic relationship with the club, and it is an honour for us to continue our sponsorship as the 150th anniversary of the club approaches.

“We take our social responsibilities extremely seriously and we would like to thank the commercial team at Hibs for all their support in ensuring that our partnership with the club has the promotion of Responsible Gambling to the fore.  We would like to wish everyone at the club, the teams and the supporters the very best for the forthcoming season and beyond.”

QuinnBet will also continue to promote its brand with an emphasis on responsible gambling – via ‘prominent’ stadium branding at Easter Road under the LED screens as well as pitch-side logos.

The Scottish Premiership club described the deal with the operator – which is currently regulated in Scotland and the UK by the UK Gambling Commission, and in Ireland by The Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland – as an initial 18 months of success.

Though a Scottish club, Hibs were founded in the nineteenth century by Edinburgh’s Irish community, with the club’s colours reflecting this. Therefore linking with an Irish operator harks back to its roots.

“We’ve really enjoyed working with the team at QuinnBet over the last 18 months and it’s fantastic that we’ve been able to extend our partnership for two more years,” concluded Hibernian FC Head of Commercial, Murray Milligen.

“Their commitment to raising awareness of responsible gambling is hugely important and we look forward to working closely with them to develop strategies to continue that.”

In recent months, the betting operator also linked with EFL League Two club Peterborough United under a two year deal, signing as the team’s ‘official advertising partner’.

The news came just one week after the publication of the Gambling Act review, and three weeks after the Premier League’s vote on betting sponsorship.
