The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE) has cleared bwin.party Entertainment to continue to operate online gambling services (online poker and casino) under the ownership of GVC Holdings (GVC).
GVC who have cleared all regulatory conditions to takeover bwin.party, are in the process of transferring the operators New Jersey license to its new enterprise. NJDGE will allow bwin.party to continue to service online gambling provisions under state laws.
GVC noted that it expects to secure a licence in the coming months, that will enable the company as well as its subsidiaries to continue to offer gambling services in New Jersey.
Addressing any potential concerns NJDGE Director David Rebuck confirmed that GVC’s new assets Party Poker and Party Casino services would not be interrupted. NJDGE governance will now move to review the application put forward by new owners GVC and its state plans.
Rebuck noted that GVC must not have any “operational or management control or influence” while its application is under consideration.
