Entain-owned sportsbook brand bwin is giving football fans the opportunity to play a match on the UEFA Europa League Final pitch the day after the match.
The ‘Fans Final’ competition comes to fruition thanks to bwin’s multi-year partnership with the UEFA Europa Conference League and the UEFA Europa League – with the final of the latter to be played out on 22 May at the Dublin Arena. Fans can apply via thisisourgame.com.
Entain is also inviting football volunteers who are part of its ‘Pitching In’ initiative to participate in a good-hearted competition for the chance to win the ‘Volunteer of the Season’ award and secure their spot for the game. One volunteer spot is valuable for each of the Trident Leagues – the Isthmian, Northern Premier and Southern League.
Volunteer work for the 248 clubs across the three Trident Leagues includes matchday activities, pitch maintenance, ground upkeep and administrative support. According to Entain, bwin’s Fans Final is a way to celebrate those who support their local football communities.
Former footballer Stuart Pearce, an Ambassador for Pitching-In, said: “The bwin Fans Final is a dream come true for football enthusiasts and seeing it open up to all the volunteers and the Pitching In Volunteer Hub is a fantastic development.
“It’s an opportunity to give back to local volunteers who are the lifeblood of grassroots football and do so much for their clubs and communities. We’re encouraging volunteers who love the beautiful game to apply and look forward to seeing the excitement unfold at the bwin Fans Final later this year.”
