Fred Done founder of BetFred, the UK’s largest independent bookmaker has been appointed Chairman of online finance and banking start-up CardOne.
CardOne allows for easy access to funds for online customers and small businesses. The Chester based company currently handles currently £600 million customer transactions from 20,000 online banking accounts.
Commenting on his appointment as Chairman, Done stated
“Having invested in CardOne banking from January 2009, I have been impressed not only with the pace of expansion but also how the management team led by Managing Director Adam Rigler has built a reputation to be proud of.
“We offer common sense banking managed by ethical people which has given me the appetite to challenge the establishment once again.
