Fitzdares and Quantum Leap ‘smashing paywall for fans’ with The Racing App

Fitzdares and Quantum Leap Solutions have stepped up their marketing efforts for The Racing App, a UK and Irish horse racing news and content platform.

The app was developed in partnership between the London-based bookmaker and the B2B technology and product design firm, and made its market entry in the UK and Ireland earlier this month via a soft launch.

After an initial couple of weeks of activity, the duo have now enhanced the visibility of the joint venture, with Fitzdares CEO, William Woodhams, unveiling the product on the Nick Luck Daily Podcast this week.

This has been accompanied by the beginning of a ‘multi-layered promotional campaign’ across the Meta and X – formerly known as Twitter – social media platforms, email promotions to Fitzdares’ customers and traditional media advertising, including in the Racing Post.

Commenting on the hard launch, Woodhams explained: “We really are smashing the paywall for racing fans by offering some of the best content in the world, unrestricted for the first time ever. We want racing fans to have as much content, expert insight and analysis at their fingertips without paying a penny.

“The Racing App is the only app on the market offering all of this entirely free of charge to racing fans and punters. We want every Fitzdares customer, and app user, to be treated to sporting experiences like no other.

“This app is the finest experience of its kind for racing fans whether having a flutter, or simply wanting to read, watch or listen to the highest quality racing content out there.”

One of the oldest bookmakers in the UK and operating with a focus on ‘luxury betting’, Fitzdares operates members club locations in Mayfair, West London and in the Cotswolds, whilst also maintaining a facility at Ascot.

Horse racing wagering is one of Fitzdares’ key areas of business and enriching the race day experience is a primary focus for the company. This has seen initiatives such as the opening of the Fitzdares Arms pub at the Royal Windsor Racecourse.

Now that the Racing App has hit the market and marketing has begun, Fitzdares aims to keep its foot on the pedal through consistent promotion, set to continue across the winter, beginning with the first of 40 sponsorships at Lingfield Park Racecourse from 21 November until Christmas.

Features of the app include form-based racing prices, video form guides, an interactive form visualiser, market charts, selections based on form, value, market and tipsters, 3D pace and draw charts, a Bet Finder and independent interpretation of runners’ past performances.

The app combines the ‘best of the old with the best of the new’, according to Quantum Leap Solutions CEO Ian Heaney, who added: “Top quality traditional race analysis with groundbreaking data analytics presented visually to ensure that they are comprehensible. It is the result of a lifetime of learning how to analyse and present horse racing.”
