Scientific Games Corporation has announced that SG Connect, the Company’s field service division in the UK, has been awarded a contract by Best Gaming Technology (BGT) to refurbish, supply and service 2,050 of its Vision self-service betting terminals (SSBTs), which will be deployed to the Ladbrokes estate
Under the contract, every Ladbrokes shop in the UK will house at least one SSBT that uses SG Connect hardware. The number of SG Connect-serviced SSBTs in the Ladbrokes estate will double in the space of two years, following the success of 1,730 SSBTs already deployed to Ladbrokes by SG Connect.
The rollout will begin in April 2015 and is expected to be completed August 2015, ahead of the start of the football season. SG Connect will carry out around 150 installations per week.
The Vision SSBT utilises high quality cash handling peripherals and single wallet systems supported by a newly developed performance PC, which will improve the player experience and improve efficiency for Ladbrokes, freeing up resources for the company to deploy elsewhere.
SG Connect will support the initial rollout and ongoing maintenance of the SSBTs through its 200-strong field service technician team, its advanced logistical infrastructure and dedicated helpdesk. These three strands of technical support combine to ensure the quickest possible response time and a service focused on a “right first time” ethos.
The deal builds on the relationship between BGT and SG Connect, spanning across Africa and Europe and Central America. The partnership creates a broad state-of-the-art terminal offering for customers through the combination of hardware, service, support and integration from SG Gaming and BGT software.
