As such the pair have joined an ever increasing number of bookmakers including Bet365, Sky Betting and Gaming, Betfair, BetStars and SeanieMac as sign ups to the scheme which supports British horseracing.

For 188Bet and McBookie it’ll ensure that both will now gain access to branding and sponsorship opportunities at BHA events and tracks owned by Arena Racing Company and the Jockey Club.

188Bet Managing Director Nigel Singer, said: “The opportunity for us to sign an agreement with British Racing reinforces our commitment to British horseracing and continuing to deliver a strong horseracing product for our customers.”

McBookie spokesman Paul Petrie stated: “Our interest lies largely with the five racecourses in Scotland and we want to help play a role in ensuring their long-term sustainability through our voluntary payments to racing.”

He continued: “The agreement will help cement our relationship with Scottish racing through our contributions to the industry.”
