Kindred Group Plc has appointed Bolin Communications to serve as its new public affairs agency for Sweden.
Launched at the start of 2023, Bolin Communications is the new public relations and public affairs agency of Swedish media figurehead Jacob Bolin.
Bolin is a former partner of Stockholm-based agency Fuze PR, responsible for campaigns, projects and stakeholder management related to politics in Sweden.
On public affairs, Bolin has served as a board member of Swedish media watchdog Telekområdgivarna and as Head of Corporate Communications for Nordic IT and cloud solutions provider Global Connect.
“We selected Bolin Communications for their deep understanding of Swedish public administration and specifically regulated industries, a key trait for an effective public affairs agency,” detailed Pär Nygårds, Head of Corporate Affairs at Kindred Group.
2023 saw Sweden’s new centre-right coalition government take charge of the ongoing review of Sweden’s gambling laws, overseen by Minister of Financial Markets Niklas Wykman.
Scheduled for 2024, the Riksdag will vote on whether to increase gambling GGR tax rates on online gambling from 18-to-22%, a measure proposed by the 2024 Budget.
