Paddy Power – Watch Out! Love Island 2018 to break all TV entertainment betting records

Paddy Power has detailed that the new series of ITV2’s ‘Love Island’, starting Monday 4 June, has taken ‘90% more in pre-event bets’ than its 2017 edition.

Following May’s Bank Holiday weekend, ITV2 bosses revealed the identities of Love Island 2018’s eleven contestants (5 girls – 6 boys).

Running over a period of eight-weeks, Love Island producers firmly believe that 2018’s edition will break all ITV2 viewing records, with the reality show further securing ITV’s highest digital and social media coverage.

Publishing its pre-event Love Island markets, Paddy Power has placed the daughter of EastEnders actor Danny Dyer, Dani Mas Dyer as 13/8 early market favourite.

For the ‘boys camp’ odds on outsiders, Adam Collard and Jack Finch have moved from 7/1 to 11/2 and 10/1 to 17/2, respectively, as punters eagerly await the first episode.

However, fans and producers of the show hope this series will be just what the doctor ordered with A&E medic Alex George the steady favourite male contestant (2/1).

At current trading, Paddy Power believes that Love Island 2018, may break all previous TV entertainment betting markets.

Updating the media, Spokesman Paddy Power said: “This season of Love Island is by far the most hotly anticipated, borne out in the betting which has seen a 90 percent increase since last year.

“After only lasting 24 hours on her previous reality TV show outing, we’re hoping that this time it’ll be less ‘dire’ for Dani. Now that her dad has approved her having an on-screen romp, viewers won’t have long to wait to find out who she’ll be getting her Eastender away with.”
