Unibet optimises esports engagement with Abios data widgets

Kindred Group’s flagship Unibet brand has become the first online bookmaker to launch ‘Esports Widgets’ developed by data provider Abios.

Seeking to enhance its esports engagement capacities, Unibet has entered a strategic partnership with Abios, a leading data and intelligence services provider for all esports stakeholders.

Moving forward, Unibet esports betting markets will be supported by Abios API widgets, displaying match content and statistics tailored for esports betting audiences.

“Abios’ expertise and ability to quickly deliver tailored widgets is greatly enhancing our esports product,” said Tomas Calmfors, Esports Product Manager at Kindred Group (Unibet).

“The addition of match insights, line-ups and live streaming is helping us grow this vertical significantly and gives the site a more endemic feel. Powered by their extensive API, a talented design team and smooth technical integrations we will look to continue and further expand the partnership in the years to come.”

The Abios widgets have been specifically tailored to Unibet’s domain and will display relevant live data and statistics on markets related to League-of-Legends, Dota 2, CS:GO and Overwatch.

Unibet has therefore enhanced its esports proposition, after the multi-market European online bookmaker secured its first esports partnership with Danish pro-CS:GO team Astralis late in 2018.
