The previous investment round took place in April 2015 and the funds acquired were used to develop the product, gain the gambling licence and create the app. This app will be released in the near future, and Premier Punt has already signed official partnerships with both Premier League and Championship clubs which’ll be announced ahead of the new season.

The Premier Punt product is based on simplicity and fun for the end user with the option to win real money, and boasts a range of options from monthly, weekly to daily games and numerous versatile features such as the option to play a five player selection on a single match. Further innovative features have been promised and one fan engagement related aspect which will be released prior to the new campaign.

Premier Punt is now looking to raise £800,000 in order to further develop the product, acquire more licences, offer larger guaranteed pots, expand the team and launch a marketing campaign. With little to no marketing thus far Premier Punt has regardless acquired over 6,000 Twitter followers and over 8,000 registered players.

Premier Punt Co-Founder and Global Director John Gordon had this to say: “We have taken this idea from a scribble on the back on an envelope to a fully functional business in under 18 months, and we’re driven to continue this momentum and grow the business further.”

He continued: “Our focus this season has been product, product and product, to ensure that when we have our big launch over the Euros and the new season, we will be delivering the product that the fans deserve. We’ll be taking fan engagement to the next level next season. Watch this space.”

Premier Punt is based in Scotland and was founded by John Gordon, Jonathan Warman, Stewart Gove and Andy Daykin. It prides itself on being ‘Made for the Fans, By the Fans.’ Anybody interested in contacting the company in relation to investment opportunities can do so via [email protected].

The rise of daily fantasy sports in Europe will form a key part of next week’s Betting on Football Conference (#bofcon) with a star studded panel discussing the issue on Thursday 21st April. Get yourself registered and see you at Stamford Bridge.
