Andy Evers has been named as the new Senior Vice President of Gaming Innovation Group (GiG).
The former Commercial Director of DraftKings, Evers will help GiG develop its commercial partnership strategy in order to secure additional key market positions.
Besides DraftKings, Eviers has also held a leadership role at Betgenius, which further adds to his experience working with sportsbook and platform solutions across the US, Asia, and Europe.
On the appointment, James Coxon, COO at GiG, said: “Andy’s arrival provides a fantastic boost to the business at a pivotal time.
“His experience and proven track record at driving commercial successes feed into our commitment to optimise our partners’ operations, ensuring we remain able to understand and serve their needs, delivering industry leading and world class support in multiple markets.”
In addition to Coxon’s welcome, Evers also commented on his new venture: “I’ve been incredibly impressed by the vision and strategy that GiG’s executive management team has implemented, as well as the immense potential for significant growth and expansion within the business.
“Having worked with some of the executive team closely during my time at DraftKings, I’ve seen firsthand the high standards they uphold and I look forward to the challenge of helping scale its operational and commercial capabilities during what promises to be a truly exciting period ahead.”
With the help of Evers, GiG will look to offset a €28m gap in its EBIT financials after adjusting for goodwill and intangible impairment charges in FY24 relating to the write-down of former acquisitions, assets, and contracts.
Full-year headline revenue was down 15% to €31.8m. Additionally, in Q4 2024 the company also finalised the split of its GiG media and tech business segments.
