TPD extends Middle Eastern racing footing with Abu Dhabi move

Abu Dhabi Turf Club (ADTC) has agreed to a multi-year deal with Total Performance Data (TPD) to use the data provider’s services at its racetrack in Abu Dhabi.

TPD has already begun producing live and post-race timing and performance stats for every horse at ADTC, with live running order graphics displaying on racetrack screens for spectators.

Will Duff Gordon, CEO of TPD, commented: “We’re delighted to extend our UAE footprint by proudly welcoming Abu Dhabi to our growing international client base. This is another major step in our Middle East expansion, and we would like to thank the team at Abu Dhabi Turf Club for choosing us to serve their vibrant and ambitious racetrack.”

The deal sees Total Performance Data extend its content footprint in the federation to three racetracks as it looks to capitalise on the Middle East’s fast-growing horse racing industry, where it supports six tracks in total.

Dayle Brown, Executive Racing Director of ADTC, added: “We are pleased to announce our new collaboration with Total Performance Data. TPD shares our ambitious vision for continually identifying new ways to engage spectators while also attracting new fans to the sport.

“We aim to further elevate the experience for local and international visitors to Abu Dhabi Turf Club and provide new and interesting insights for our global racing audience.”

The Middle East continues to be a focus for TPD as the data services provider made several moves for growth in the region across 2024. In October, it partnered with Bahrain Turf Club in a bid to “draw more attention” to the region.

Gordon commented: “We are delighted to extend our footprint in the middle east by adding the Bahrain Turf Club to our client base. We’d like to thank the Bahrain Turf Club and the team there for choosing us and look forward to drawing even more attention to the quality racing taking place at this ambitious racecourse.”
