Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has strengthened its systems testing and security oversight of technology applications after signing a comprehensive agreement with Checkmarx.
Under the agreement, Checkmarx will provide GiG with stat application security testing (SAST) provisions, allowing the Stockholm-listed technology group to meet its client scale and build-quality demands.
Checkmarx is recognised as one of the leading digital security testing hubs for large scale enterprises, servicing over 1,400 clients globally including Deloitte, Salesforce, SAP and CDK Global.
Chris Armes, Chief Information Officer at GiG, said: “Security is embedded in our culture, and ingrained in everything we do as a business.
“Partnering with Checkmarx forms part of the wider initiative of Integrating security throughout the development life cycle of our partner’s online casino or sports betting sites. The partnership will help to fuel our primary security objective of engineering secure products throughout GiG’s Ecosystem.”
In its statement, GiG detailed that its engineering and development teams will be supported with further SAST tools to source code, identify and rectify product and system vulnerabilities quicker.
GiG stated that enhanced security oversight of its applications has become a core company objective, following its recent transformation becoming a sole B2B platform and systems provider for igaming and sports betting incumbents.
Christopher Brennan, Regional Director for DACH and CEE at Checkmarx, added: “Modern software development is complex, requiring organisations and development teams to place both speed and security at the forefront of everything they do, and Checkmarx is committed to helping our customers achieve this balance.
“We’re pleased that an innovator like Gaming Innovation Group has chosen to utilise CxSAST and are confident that our partnership will allow them to instil cyber resilience into the software they develop, setting the standard for software security in the iGaming industry.”
