Intralot appoints Byron Boothe as US CEO

Athens-listed gambling technology and lottery systems provider Intralot SA has confirmed the promotion of US executive Byron Boothe as Chief Executive of its North American subsidiary INTRALOT Inc.

Since 2019, Boothe has led the firm’s US operations as Interim CEO of INTRALOT Inc.

The 13-year company executive has formerly served as INTRALOT Inc’s Vice President of Government Relations, leading the firm’s regulatory directives and key stakeholder partnerships.

Boothe will be tasked with leading INTRALOT Inc’s aggressive US market growth plans, a key objective earmarked by Intralot as part of the Athens group’s corporate recovery programme.

May and June trading saw Intralot launch back-to-back US betting partnerships in the state of Montana and in Washington DC.

“Byron has been instrumental in supporting INTRALOT, Inc. and our US operations more than thirteen years,” said Dr Chris Dimitriadis, Group CEO of Intralot.

“I would like to congratulate him for joining our executive leadership team and I am looking forward to working with him in executing our growth strategy in the United States.”

Commenting on his appointment, Boothe said: ”We have an exceptionally talented team at INTRALOT, Inc. that is focused on taking decisive actions to transform the business, continuing to innovate our product in new and diverse ways, and unlocking future growth opportunities. It is an honor to be selected to lead this outstanding team.”
