Inspired Gaming Group is gearing up for a record FIFA World Cup; predicting a massive 200m bets on its Virtual Sports products in venues, online and on mobile channels across 35 countries.

Inspired, which supplies circa. 95 per cent of the global virtual sports market, is also forecasting that its popular Virtual Football product will generate over 3m bets per day during the 32-day World Cup tournament period, and more bets than ever will be placed via mobile products.

To maximize virtual betting opportunities during the World Cup, Inspired’s Virtual Football product includes all World Cup 2014 qualifying teams with bespoke international team kits. Players can also bet on a range of exciting markets including Accumulators, Double Change and Asian Handicap.

Steve Rogers, SVP of Virtual Sports and Mobile at Inspired Gaming Group, commented: “The quality of our Virtual Football product is a key reason why operators choose Inspired’s Virtual Sports and we’re committed to staying ahead of the field in terms of graphical realism and range of bet markets by continually evolving the game, as we do with all of our products. Generally our products generate 100 per cent more revenue than our competitors, but during the World Cup we expect to see our lead widen due to the quality of our Virtual Football game.

“Major global sporting events, such as the World Cup, are a fantastic opportunity for our customers to market to new players and build brand loyalty. We’re dedicated to helping them continually enhance their Virtual offering, and their incomes, by upgrading the sports and offering dedicated marketing support. Scheduling Virtual Sports around the live matches means that operators can benefit from the greater footfall and digital activity which the World Cup naturally generates.”
