Sportingbet has been named the new kit sponsor of Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras until December 2027.
The Entain-owned operator is set to appear on the front of the shirts of the Brazilian football club’s men’s and women’s teams, as well as on the match, training and warm-up kits and travel items (t-shirts, suitcases, backpacks and caps).
“This is a significant milestone in Entain’s history and reinforces our commitment to strategic markets such as Brazil,” said Gavin Isaac, CEO of Entain.
“We are confident that this partnership with Palmeiras, a club with a long tradition and achievements, will create unique opportunities to engage sports fans in a regulated market full of potential, always putting the fan experience first.”
The partnership also includes naming rights for TV Palmeiras and Palmeiras Cast and the presence in content and broadcasts on TV Palmeiras, among other official channels.
“Over the last few decades, we have built a reputation for trust, responsibility, credibility and success, which we can also see in the glorious 110-year history of Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras,” noted Antonio Forjaz, General Director of Sportingbet in Latin America.
“We are very honoured to join the victorious men’s and women’s teams of Brazil’s greatest champions and such a passionate fan base. We know what lies ahead: more titles to add to the 1951 Club World Cup, the three men’s and women’s Libertadores, the 12 Brazilian Championships and the four Brazilian Cups, among so many victories of this imposing club that knows how to be Brazilian.”
The players will have the Sportingbet logo on the shirts they will wear in the debut of the men’s Campeonato Paulista tomorrow (15 January) in the match against Portuguesa, at Allianz Parque.
Leila Pereira, President of Palmeiras, concluded on the deal: “Palmeiras has one of the most valuable brands in world football and is constantly seeking partners with credibility and the ability to contribute to the club’s growth, making it even more successful.
“We are very pleased with the arrival of Sportingbet and the beginning of this new era. I am certain that together we will build another successful partnership that will be immortalized in the history of Brazil’s Greatest Champion.”
Notably, SportingBet has recently received full authorisations from The Ministry of Finance of Brazil to operate in the country’s newly launched market.
