Asian betting brand K8 has agreed to sponsor Atlético de Madrid in a two-season deal.
The company becomes the La Liga club’s official Asian betting partner, with its branding set to ‘prominently feature’ on an LED and Cam Carpet digital overlay system implemented at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano.
A K8 spokesperson commented: “With 11 La Liga titles, Atletico de Madrid is one of the best clubs in Europe. We are thrilled to announce our partnership with such a premium football club full of traditions and passion.
“K8 is aiming to bring best in class entertainment and experience to millions of users and fans around the world. We are the best at what we do so this is a perfect partnership for us.”
K8 also stated it will ‘share the exciting moments of the club’ with fans in Asia through the league’s broadcasters in the region.
Users of the platform will also get access to win what it described as “money can’t buy” experiences, which include post-match meet and greets with the players and tickets to see the team in action.
“This alliance with K8 will allow us to get even closer to the big Atleti family in Asia,” added Óscar Mayo, Atlético de Madrid’s Chief Operating Officer.
“Thanks to this agreement, fans will be able to enjoy innovative experiences from their homes while watching our matches and feel Atlético de Madrid much closer to them.”
The betting brand has also previously netted sponsorship deals in the English top-flight such as with West Bromwich Albion FC and Manchester City, as well as in German football with FC Schalke 04.
