Meridianbet has announced a partnership with Cypriot football team FC AEL Limassol.
Described as the biggest sponsorship agreement in Cypriot football, Meridianbet’s branding will be seen on the front of the team’s shirts.
The deal also aims to underscore the operator’s decades-long local presence and support for paramount sports in the region.

The Limassol-headquartered company shared that it has always been ‘deeply rooted’ in the local community, where it enjoys a robust player base. The sponsorship deal with AEL Limassol has been described as a testament to this ongoing support and dedication.

The news shortly follows the firm’s approval for the introduction of its sports betting in the South African market.
Meanwhile, in further company news this week, Golden Matrix Group Inc (GMGI) has underscored its corporate transformation, boosted by the acquisition of MeridianBet Group, a deal completed in April 2024.
The Nasdaq-listed technology group issued a ‘preliminary notice’, forecasting its corporate revenues to top $39m for Q2 trading (period ending 30 June).
