IBIA and IXUP to improve integrity within US sports betting

The International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) has announced a partnership with IXUP Limited as part of a US sports betting integrity initiative.

The Australia-based software company will now collaborate with the group on improving the sports betting compliance landscape, whilst promoting the integrity monitoring solution from the IBIA to its partnered operators, regulators and teams.

Khalid Al, IBIA CEO, commented: “This partnership allows each party to potentially incorporate the other’s relationships, technology and best practices, be it across the identification of suspicious betting activity or the encrypted matching and identification of excluded individuals betting in breach of sporting rules.

“Both IXUP and IBIA recognise the critical importance behind maintaining integrity within US sports betting and we will continue to investigate new collaborative technologies and solutions to support operators in achieving this.”

Meanwhile, the pair also stated that, in the future, the delivery of complementary services ‘may be explored’.

“IBIA and IXUP share a common approach toward helping stakeholders make your disparate, competitive and sensitive datasets more useful across industry collaboration and enhancing the integrity of the sports betting ecosystem,” added Kevin Vonasek, President & Primary Consultant at PlayPause.

PlayPause is a company with a core focus on modernising and strengthening responsible gaming and employee integrity programs.

“We are not here to point fingers or smear your names across the press. We don’t want to know your data, nor should we ever see your data,” Vonasek added.

“We are simply a B2B encrypted fuzzy matching service helping operators, regulators and leagues better detect, investigate, and ultimately prevent wagering activity that is in direct conflict with our industry’s rules and codes of conduct.”

In recent weeks, the IBIA and the Lotería de la Ciudad – the regulatory body of Buenos Aires – also signed a memorandum of understanding.

This agreement now aids the development of a regulated, transparent, safe and responsible sports betting market, and aims to discourage all types of unfair or fraudulent practices and the manipulation of sports competitions in the Argentina capital.
