Tekkorp reshuffles board and hires former William Hill US CFO as partner

International gambling advisory group Tekkorp Capital has announced changes to its board, with President Robin Chhabra promoted to CEO.

Matt Davey, the company’s founder, will now assume Chairman responsibilities, whilst Mark McMillan has also been confirmed as a new partner in the firm.

Commenting on the board changes, Davey remarked: “Tekkorp Capital has grown rapidly over the last couple of years. Robin Chhabra has done an incredible job in not only building the team but also setting the standard for M&A across the industry. I couldn’t be more pleased to have Mark join our world-class team.”

Meanwhile, McMillan brings experience of corporate finance and strategy to the firm as a former Chief Financial Officer of William Hill US.

Of particular significance for Tekkorp, McMillan oversaw WiIliam Hill US’ financial operations during the rapid growth of the US market post-PASPA repeal, as well as the sale of its business to Caesars Entertainment.

He finished his tenure at William Hill working in corporate development, specifically around strategy and M&A, and has also served as a Non-Executive Director with Malta-based B2B supplier EveryMatrix and as an M&A Advisor for HSBC Global Banking.

McMillan said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Tekkorp Capital. As part of a multi-faceted team, I will assist my fellow partners in delivering strategic and value-additive solutions for our clients at this exciting time for the igaming sector. Tekkorp has expanded rapidly and I am excited to be a part of its development.”

Announcing McMillan’s hiring, Tekkorp noted its ambition of’ cultivating a distinguished M&A reputation’, having welcomed the likes of Crispin Nieboer (Former MD, William Hill Online), Andy Clerkson and Steve Schrier (Former CCO, SG Digital) to its team.

Chhabra concluded: “We’re delighted to have added another Tekkorp Capital partner as well-respected as Mark. Collectively, our team has led many business transformations, as well as executing a number of the most significant merger and acquisition transactions in the sector.

“Our combined history as hands-on operators represents our core strength and differentiator, allowing us to solve our clients’ critical strategic issues and help them create value.”
