Spotlight upgrades Superfeed to meet prop market demands

Spotlight Sports Group (SSG) has made enhancements to its Superfeed content engine, targeting an increased volume of content across more markets and sports leagues.

Specifically, the content and media company has upgraded the volume of betting prompts for each match by 100%, enabling the delivery of betting prompts to 136 different markets.

The company detailed that the enhancements have been made in recognition of the ‘growing popularity’ of player, interval and prop betting markets, as well as to provide ‘relevant and insightful content’ to prospective bettors.

SSG B2B Sales Director, Rob Black, said: “We know from numerous trials that our Superfeed product is highly effective at increasing engagement and informing customers as they make their betting decisions.

“With these new advances we are able to supply an even greater volume of insights for pre- and in-play bettors. With the growth in popularity of player prop markets, it’s great to be able to support our customers with valuable betting insights across these key markets on a large scale.”

One of SSG’s flagship products, Sueprfeed enjoyed a commercially successful year in 2022, as Spotlight inked deals with the likes of Catena Media and LiveScore Group, with the offering playing a key role in both partnerships.

The content engine covers 80,000 sporting events annually in 70 languages, covering preplay insight and in-play content for more than 90 football leagues, horse races and greyhound fixtures.

Additionally, SSG has designed the product so that it can be implemented into any platform using one API or a widget integration.

In March last year, an independent study tested Sueprfeed’s impact on prospective bettors, finding that 20% of users made bets after seeing the engine’s prompts.

Additionally, customer engagement rose 4.5 times after customers saw the prompts in question, and repeat bettors wagered around £20 more on a monthly basis.

Having closed 2022 with the monolithic sports betting event of the World Cup, for which the firm launched 11 new content hubs, SSG aims to start 2023 in a strong position with the latest upgrade to the Superfeed engine.
