Betkwiff aims to open ‘opportunities for international traffic’ with Isle of Man renewal

Sports betting service Betkwiff has strengthened its standing within the Isle of Man as the company renews its B2C operating licence.

The company, launched in 2015 by Anders Ström and Karl Engström – the respective Founder and Co-Founder of Unibet, detailed that it aims to open ‘opportunities for international traffic’ following its renewal. Commencing on his firm’s renewal of its Isle of Man licencing, Charles Lee, betkwiff’s CEO, remarked: “We’re pleased to renew our Isle of Man B2C licence which demonstrates we adhere to the highest possible industry standards. The business has a rock-solid foundation in place to ensure we’re well placed to deliver on the next growth stage.”

As the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission (GSC) maintains strict standards with regards to AML and player protections, Betkwiff is hopeful that it can target emerging markets.

Specifically, the company intends to target emerging markets with bettors that do not have direct local regulatory regimes, and provide players in these regions with the ‘security of the GSC’s supervision’.

The operator, which lauded the Isle of Man as a ‘leading jurisdiction’ with a ‘forward-thinking approach to regulation’, focuses on providing ‘super-charged’ bets, meaning it offers its customers the ability to substantially boost odds on a number of products.

The company is operated by Kwiff Limited, which is in turn owned by London-based Eaton Gate Gaming.
