Betsson nets full Milan connection as Inter joins its Starcasino.sport platform

Following on from its partnership with city rival AC Milan, Betsson AB has confirmed that its flagship Italian igaming property StarCasino will serve as ‘principal Infotainment partner’ of Inter Milan FC.

Abiding by Italy’s ‘Decree Laws’ prohibiting all forms of gambling advertising, Betsson AB will develop exclusive digital content for Inter fans published on its new media platform Starcasino.sport.

Launched for the new Serie A 2020/2021 season, the Starcasino.sport platform features no casino or sportsbook promotions, with the platform dedicated entirely to football content.

Betsson launched the platform by announcing AC Milan as its first content partner and broadcasting its first-ever web series ‘The Ring’, made available to Rossoneri fans on the Starcasino.sport platform.

Betsson marketing confirmed that it has begun to work with Inter to deliver a ‘rich programme of content’ that the football club will be able to share across its digital platforms.

“One of the objectives of StarCasinò.sport is to propose modern and engaging football storytelling. The partnership with FC Internazionale is very important to us in terms of image, it expands our range of contents and allows us to collaborate with an innovation-oriented club,” said Ronni Hartvig, Chief Commercial Officer of Betsson Group.

“We aim to create high-quality entertainment for Inter fans and all football fans in Italy.”

Inter said that the StarCasinò.sport platform would be promoted on matchday LED monitors at the San Siro stadium and the club’s Suning Training Center, where ‘Betsson will soon debut its first ‘series of exclusive Nerazzurri activations for Inter fans’.

“We’re delighted to welcome StarCasinò.sport to the Nerazzurri family as our Official Infotainment Partner,” said CEO Corporate of FC Internazionale Milano Alessandro Antonello.

“Producing innovative and quality content for our fans, taking advantage of the growing digital and multimedia infrastructures of our Club, is of fundamental importance for us, and we are happy to have found the ideal partner in StarCasino.sport. We hope that this agreement will bring both organisations to a future rich in satisfaction.”
