BtoBet targets Peru expansion for next LATAM chapter

Industry betting developing markets platform provider BtoBet has confirmed that it will further expand its LATAM presence, targeting growth within Peru.

Updating the market, BtoBet management details that it has studied a number of potential South American markets in which to grow its services and provisions.

The supplier, which has established its commercial pipeline within the developing markets of South America and Africa, has identified Peru as its next market entry point.

BtoBet’s new market ambitions follow news that the Peruvian government may move to implement a liberalised betting market mirroring the legislation of the recently open Colombian market.

Commenting on BtoBet’s update, Chairman Alessandro Fried stated:

“Given the upcoming sweeping legislation that is set to be introduced, Peru scales high on our agenda, and with the region attracting interest from various operators, even on an international level, the time is ripe for BtoBet to enter such an interesting scenario.”

“The region already has a very strong reputation from a retail perspective, with experts widely viewing its current regulatory framework as a big success and one that many of the other emerging LatAm regions should look towards when attempting to build a retail footprint.”
