Betfred enters Aussie mobile sports betting market

Betfred_250x250Igaming operator Betfred moved ahead with plans to enter the Australian igaming market, with the soft launch of its mobile sports betting product.

The mobile sports betting offering is tailored to the Australian sports betting market, offering Australian customers markets on popular sports such as Cricket, aussie rules football and A-League soccer. Betfred had been granted a regional sports betting licence by the Northern Territory Gaming Commission.

The launch of its sports betting offering on mobile devices, is the first product launch of Betfred for the Australian region.

The operators regional operation have been managed by new Australian Managing Director – Luke Brill.  Betfred plans to become one of the dominant sports betting products in the saturated Australian igaming market, which has seen European competitors William Hill, Paddy Power and Unibet launch regionally tailored products in 2014.

Luke Brill Commented on the launch of Betfred Australian mobile betting services “This is the first of a multi-phased approach to the Australian market,” Brill added. “The mobile site will soon be followed by stand-alone apps for both Android and Apple for sports, rugby league, Australian rules football and Lotto.”
