IBIA strengthens position in LatAm with SkillOnNet

SkillOnNet has entered into a partnership with the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) to help combat corruption and fraud within the betting industry.

As part of the deal, the provider will join a further 70 betting brands which focus on preserving the integrity of sports betting.

Khalid Ali, CEO of IBIA, commented: “IBIA is pleased to welcome SkillOnNet to our association of leading global gambling operators. The addition of SkillOnNet to IBIA further strengthens our position in Brazil, the LatAm region and globally.

“The move highlights SkillOnNet’s commitment to protecting the integrity of its betting products, consumers and related sporting events by utilising the world’s leading operator-led monitoring and alert network.

“IBIA looks forward to working closely with SkillOnNet and to integrating the operator within our global sports betting integrity system.”

The IBIA’s Monitoring & Alert Network will enable SkillOnNet to detect and report suspicious betting activity, contributing to a global effort to safeguard the industry against fraud.

“We’re hugely bullish about the Brazilian market, but with any young market you must ensure safeguards are in place to protect players and operators,” added Pedro Garcia, Brazil Country Manager at SkillOnNet.

The Brazil market is currently undergoing a regulatory process aligned with new legal requirements after its official launch at the start of the year.

“The IBIA does an extremely important job of upholding the highest standards of integrity in markets across the world and it’s a privilege to be part of the organisation,” Garcia continued.

SkillOnNet operates brands such as PlayOJO, LuckyNiki and SpinGenie, and has expanded its reach into the Latin American market.

As the industry continues to grow, especially in emerging regions, protecting the integrity of new markets like Brazil has been highlighted as a priority for both SkillOnNet and the IBIA.

In recent weeks, São Paulo-based operator Betsul also joined the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA). This deal represented another ‘strategic step forward’ in strengthening the Brazilian betting market.
