1/ST RACING – a key partner of Racing And Sports (RAS) – has launched an innovative partnership with Royal Ascot.
The deal will enable automatic entry for successful US horses into one of Royal Ascot’s six two-year-old races as well as a $25,000 equine travel stipend.
Aidan Butler, CEO of 1/ST RACING & GAMING, said: “1/ST RACING is thrilled to announce this new global partnership with Ascot Racecourse. Gulfstream Park is honoured to host two automatic qualifiers to challenge the world’s best at this year’s Royal Ascot Meeting.”
The company is part of the US racing and gaming group which drives the horse racing operations and gaming offerings at top racetracks and training centres in America, with RAS technology powering several of the systems behind it.
Winners of the 13 May $100,000 Royal Palm Juvenile Stakes and $100,000 Royal Palm Juvenile Fillies Stakes at Gulfstream Park, Hallandale Beach, Florida, will each book their place at the Royal meeting from 20-24 June.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with 1/ST RACING on this initiative and building on the already solid foundations of success that American juveniles have at Royal Ascot,” added Nick Smith, Director of Racing and Public Affairs, Ascot Racecourse.
“Hopefully the incentives will attract a quality field and we look forward to welcoming their connections at Ascot.”
The deal builds upon the pair’s original partnership in 2022, which formed part of RAS’ expansion into the Northern Hemisphere, to deliver wagering technology and race-day data and control for 1/ST Content racecourses.
Towards the end of last year, RAS also continued its strong commercial momentum as a newly listed ASX tech enterprise, announcing a racing systems partnership with Picklebet.
This two-year agreement now sees RAS serve as the lead provider of risk-managed trading services for Picklebet’s racing product – commissioned to expand the bookmaker’s sports betting markets and product offering.
