188BET to sponsor next month’s Summer Plate Ladies’ Day

The biggest and richest racing day of the year at Market Rasen Racecourse has a new backer. Online bookmaker 188BET will become the sponsor of Summer Plate Ladies’ Day in association with Lincs FM, which this year falls on Saturday 21st July.

The summer meeting regularly attracts over 8500 visitors, features the showpiece £50,000-listed steeplechase – the most valuable race staged at the Lincolnshire racecourse and the pre-eminent jumps race of the summer in Britain – and is covered by the cameras of ITV Racing.

Total prize-money in 2018 is up by just under 10% to £143,000, with the accompanying 188BET Summer Hurdle now worth £40,000.

188BET has been a sponsor at Market Rasen Racecourse since September 2016, with support during the autumn and winter jump racing programme totalling 63 races to date. The business also has a large and established profile within Jockey Club Racecourses, the parent group of the Lincolnshire venue.

With the VIP Enclosure, VIP Picnic Experience, as well as all hospitality and the restaurant already sold out four weeks in advance, and a limited number of tickets remaining for the County Enclosure, the day is set for a five-figure attendance for the first time in five years. Tickets for the County Enclosure, as well as Tattersalls and the Lawn Enclosure, remain on sale.

Nadia Powell, General Manager, Market Rasen Racecourse, said: “We are thrilled to announce that 188BET is the new sponsor of Summer Plate Ladies’ Day in association with Lincs FM, the highest profile racing day every year at Market Rasen Racecourse. It is very pleasing to develop further our established partnership with 188BET.

“With advance sales well ahead of previous seasons, we anticipate that we will be welcoming a very large summer crowd on 21st July, a day when our racecourse is very much in the national spotlight.”
